CALL is a divergent field that encompasses various levels of learning, all supported by computer-enabled technology (Kukulska-Hulme and Lesley 271). CALL, or Computer Assisted Language Learning, is quickly becoming one of the preferred teaching tools among foreign language instructors. Using CALL, language teachers can help their students retain more vocabulary and grammar by having them watch videos, play computer games, or even navigate the internet using only their target language. Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) is the general term for the range of processes and activities that employ computers in the teaching and learning of a new langauge. In the history of CALL we can see the confluence of the latest technology as well as the most widely accepted language theories of the day.
