Japan, 1955: Mario Minakami has just arrived at Shounan Special Reform School along with five other teenagers who have been arrested on serious criminal charges. All assigned to the same cell, they meet older inmate Rokurouta Sakuragi—a former boxer—with whom they establish a close bond. Rainbow : Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin is an anime about seven boys who are put into the same holding cell in the reformitory of Shio where they create a bond forged through pain, suffering, and death. Ishihara is a brutal and sadistic man who enjoys beating and punishing students for the slightest of reasons. Of all the students, he has the greatest grudge against Sakuragi, who shows no fear of Ishihara and does not fall for his schemes. This caused Ishihara to be afraid of Sakuragi Yokosuka Jou is the quietest of the boys.
